At present Encounters works in 8 local junior schools, secondary schools and colleges on a regular basis covering over 7,600 young people, and providing a valuable resource to staff. In all our work we combine relevance and respect with a personal witness to Christian faith. We see our work as both supporting and encouraging those who already have a faith and "seed sowing" among the many who do not. We seek to inspire, challenge and encourage pupils to consider the Christian message in the context of their school lives.
All that has been achieved encourages us and we believe the work has a bright future ahead of it. Our vision is to reach more young people and give them opportunities to make their own decisions about the Christian faith.
